Our work spans education, vocational and entrepreneurial skills, leadership training, sports development, mentorship, and community initiatives that promote self-reliance, innovation, and social inclusion. We believe investing in people is the surest way to reduce poverty and open opportunity.

The Jawara Foundation exists to empower young people and women through education, skills development, entrepreneurship, leadership, sports, mentorship, and community support. We are committed to promoting equal opportunities, fostering innovation, and partnering with communities and institutions to improve livelihoods and create lasting social and economic transformation.
David Jawara Banye is a Ghanaian public administrator, security professional, and entrepreneur with more than three decades of service across national institutions, including the Parliamentary Service of Ghana, the Bureau of National Investigations, and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation. He holds a Master of Public Administration from GIMPA.
A native son of Kaleo, his commitment to home has never wavered. Alongside his public service he has built enterprises in media, construction, and real estate, and for years has championed grassroots youth football in Kaleo through the Jawara Football Club. The Jawara Foundation grows from that same belief: that talent is everywhere in the Upper West, and every young person and woman deserves the chance to build on it.
